I have trained and worked in various settings, including:

  •  a university-based mental health clinic 
  •  community mental health clinics in rural and urban settings
  •  residential drug rehabilitation units for adolescents and adults
  • a hospital-based day treatment program for adults (MICA - Mentally Impaired Chemical Abuse)
  •  a private center serving children and adolescents with learning disabilities

 

I have helped people with various needs. In addition, I have received specialized training in treating:

  •  behavior and mood problems
  • substance abuse
  • sexual assault
  • learning disabilities

  • Clinical Director of A Home Within - Brooklyn, a not-for-profit group that provides long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy for foster youth at no charge 

  • NYU Adjunct Professor teaching a graduate-level course on mental illness in children and adolescents and the art of diagnosis

    • Guest lecturer on child and adolescent psychotherapy to graduate students at NYU
    • Guest lecturer on group therapy to graduate students at NYU
    • Guest lecturer on psychology and the nature of psychotherapy to adolescent foster youth writing for Represent Magazine
